If you missed the LJT 14th Annual Texas Music Festival and Chili Cook-off you missed a treat!

Starting with the fabulous Guy Clark on Wednesday night and ending with Larry Joe & band on Saturday night the extended weekend was pack with fantastic Texas Music, Great friends and big fun.

Joe Pat Hennen, Davin James, Brian Burns, Steven Fromholz and Ed Burleson as always are some on my perennial favorites but there were a few acts I really enjoyed that I was not sure of. Charlie Robison, Django Walker, Bleu Edmondson to name a few. And of course seeing the infamous Guy Clark with Vernal Thompson while sitting in the front row was to die for.

If you dropped by our camp you saw the Ver. 1 of the theme we are doing, it is a work in progress, trying to capture the feel of a palapa bar on the beaches of a Third Coast.

Special thanks to Barry Horne of Hombre records for bringing a band named, get this, The Bad Monkeys,
to play Buffett covers during the showmanship judging. We did not win but we dang sure should have! They were great! (Check their web page for dates to see them)

We also had my good friends Kent & Patty Wood with us from Vermont. They fell in love with LJT's music after hearing it with me and I think have become fans of several other Texas songwriters now. Thanks for making the trip and all the help guys!

I also was selling the LJT charms at the festival and if you didn't get one and you want one just click here and order one!

Well, just a few months until Island Time! Can't wait for that one now!
