Another of my favorite things to do is to travel.
it can be a trip to europe or a trip to the beach as long as i am
going.
i am not one of those on a trip that ever say "i'm
ready to get back home" . the adventure is being away from
home.
i tend to go the rustic route rather than the five
star because i like to associate with the native people, i like
to try and live life through their eyes for a few days. it can either
make me really appreciate my life or be jealous of theirs, sometimes
both
before i asked chantel to marry me we went on a trip
to jamica and stayed literally in tree houses. a rustic camping
type of adventure. i did this so i could judge how she traveled.
i'm happy to say that not having a blow dryer and
some of the other luxuries did not seem to bother her. i asked her
to marry me a short time later
i'll be adding to this area as i have time, for now
there is some information about my favorite close place, port aransas,
and my favorite far place, cozumel mexico
the page on cozumel is pretty dated so take the information
as what it is, old tips. i am sure that some restaurants are gone
and new ones have taken their place.
we have not traveled as much as we used to since kelley
got sick, but the last few times to cozumel it had gotten too commercial
for us. of course we have been on a cruise or two that is part of
the cause of this but what can you do?
we hope to find a new island that speaks to us like
coz did 15 years ago. .
